Project Description
Problem
At present, express service network remain a certain distance from the living place. Some of the community networks set up unreasonable and has no on-site service. It is inconvenient for the elderly to go up and down the buildings, which affects their use of the express service and even poses potential safety threat.
Concept Generation
Our project aims at completing the express system by invent an low-cost automatic fetching robot which can deliver the packages from express station to owner’s home. For those people who are infirm or just don’t want to leave their sofa, the robotic car can definitely save your time and efforts.
Design Description
The robotic car contains a infared sensor that can digitalize roads which has posted on the ground previously and walks along the road to the express station. Then the robotic arm will pick up the package and bring it back to owner’s home.

Modeling and Analysis
The way to realize our project is mainly divided into three parts:
1. Designing the main part of the car. We consider that fetching packages needs the robotic arm and infrared sensor to reconize the routes.
2. Testing the fetching system and redesigning the structure. After assembling the car, we want to test the practical of the manipulator and redesign the structure to enhence its practicability.
3. Creating a complete delivery system which can realize the delivery from door to door.

Validation
We did a sample test by delivering several sample from point A to point B or point C.
The tests show that the robotic car can deliver most of the object from piont to point. But it is not perfect. The robotic car can’t deliver the Regular octahedron object(1.1kg) and Irregular shape object(1.1kg) over 20 meters. This is the initial version and we will improve the drawbacks for the final product.

Conclusion
The project solves the problem by providing a low- cost and convenient robotic car to fetch the packages automatically. It’s more than a robot, it complete the last part of express system, which create an alternative solution for those areas which can’t deliver passages door-to-door. The robotic car provides automatic fetching system for those people in need which reduce the elderly’s safety concern and provide the convenience for the users. We want to create the community system that every residents can enjoy the delivery service without paying extra fee. We believe that the robotic car can create a more convenient world.
