Food-serving robots in the 2022 Winter Olympics
The Smart Restaurant for Beijing 2022 has become famous prior to the opening of the event.
The various kinds of food-serving robots, who know how to pour wine, cook both Chinese and Western food of different cuisine types, and deliver food to the guests, are developed by Associate Professor Yan Weixin of the Institute of Robotics at SJTU.
Having dedicated to the research field of catering robots for 15 years, Prof. Yan is confident that these robots will have broad application prospects and that they will be helpful in promoting Chinese cuisine.
The torch relay for the 2022 Winter Olympics
The torch relay for the 2022 Winter Olympics kicked off in the host city of Beijing, starting a three-day journey that will feature around 1,200 torchbearers including SJTU alumni Yao Ming and Ma Long.
The Beijing 2022 will promote and embody the Olympic motto “Faster, Higher, Stronger, Together”, and encourage people around the world to come together for a shared future.
SJTU Professor Zhou Bin & his calligraphy works
To celebrate the opening of the 2022 Winter Olympics, SJTU Professor Zhou Bin presented a stone inscription with the Chinese calligraphy “Tour of Peace” in Chongli, Zhangjiakou, Beijing.
SJTU Professor Zhou Bin has been dedicated to promoting Chinese traditional art throughout the years. In recent years, with the theme of “SJTU Global Challenge Program,” Professor Zhou has cooperated with relevant UN agencies to carry out the “United Nations Chinese Character Culture Network Course” further promoting the spirit of calligraphy. To celebrate the 2022 Winter Olympics, the exhibition of calligraphy works will open at the National Art Museum of China on February 18, 2022. Prof. Zhou Bin is invited to participate in this exhibition and display their calligraphy works.
