The annual SJTU Entrance Exam Advisory Fair was held in the Xuhui campus on April 29, 2013.
A large number of prospective students and parents showed up to learn about JI’s innovative international education program and admission procedures. The JI recruiting team included Peisen Huang, Executive Dean, Pam Byrnes, Executive Director, Scott Yang, Academic Affairs Manager,Yang Wang, Domestic Recruitment Manager, Jacqueline Wei, Domestic Recruitment Advisor, and Jie Lin, Student Career Counselor. Many student and parent volunteers showed up to share their experiences and help answer questions.
Compared with last year, this year JI attracted even more attention. Big crowd gathered in front of the JI booth. They were drawn by JI’s high-level teaching and excellent graduate placement record. JI’s announcement to increase the number of scholarships is also appealing. People were interested in JI’s international education model, faculty caliber, and recruitment policy.
During the event, a group of 2013 incoming students and their parents volunteered to help answer questions. Many people inquired about the 2+2 Dual-degree program but were also interested in the 4+1 Combined Undergraduate / Graduate Program (CUGP) as well as JI’s competitive Master and Ph.D. programs. Among those who came for the advisement, many were high school freshmen and sophomores and their parents who want to get a head start. After being well-informed, they have made up their mind and hope to get into JI soon.
