JI Professors Tian Yang and Jigang Wu won the 2012 Grants of Chinese University Ph. D. Research Foundation sponsored by MOE. They both applied for the discipline of electronics and communication.Yang is in the category of Ph. D. Advisor, and Wu is in the category of Recently Recruited Faculty.
Yang’s research title is “Well controlled and repeatable enormously enhanced Raman scattering in nanophotonics devices.”
Wu’s title is “Research on intensity based digital holographic reconstruction imaging method.”
The Grants of Chinese University Ph. D. Research Foundation are funded by the Ministry of Education, which aim to fund fundamental and applied Ph.D. research projects in Chinese universities approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. The annual funding is in three categories: Ph. D. Advisor, Recently Recruited Faculty, and Priority Development Discipline. The following research projects are preferred: (1) projects that are creative, innovative, scientifically significant, and have future development potential; (2) projects that can improve the development of new disciplines/majors and enhance the construction of key disciplines and key labs in the universities; (3) projects that can promote interdisciplinary collaborative research and construction of marginal disciplines.
