Teaching Labs
The JI Teaching Labs fully support JI’s education objectives by cultivating innovative and hands-on abilities of the students, and helping them to progress towards their academic and career goals.
With resources coming from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Michigan, JI’s laboratories have been developed in line with U-M’s experimental teaching system and laboratory facilities in the past years.
Currently, the JI Teaching Labs have a total area of 2000 square meters, Circuits Lab, General Engineering Lab(A), General Engineering Lab(B) Communications Lab, Mechatronics Lab, Mechanical Engineering Lab, Design & Manufacturing Lab, Optics Lab, Cryogenic Probe Station Lab, Machine Shop, Solid Dynamics Lab, Fluids Lab.
Students are able to use high-tech equipment for their studies, such as Robotics, 3D printers, MTS servohydraulic test system, Polytec vibrometer, Vic-3D digital image correlation system, Zeiss confocal microscope, High-speed camera, Wind tunnel, oscilloscope, generator, and other world-class equipment.
