Description:
This course introduces the fundamentals of biofluid mechanics and continuum mechanics as well as the applications of these principles to a variety of biological flows. Fluid flows in physiology and biotechnology are investigated at a variety of scales, ranging from cellular to whole body.
Course Topics:
Specific topics include human body circulation, animal swimming and flying at both high and low Reynolds number in nature, etc.
