Course Topics:
Effective management is essential for organizational success. To ensure that everyone contributes to the achievement of collective goals, managers should design and maintain an internal environment in accordance with the external organizational environment, and coordinate the work of group members. Although external (e.g., politics, economy, and culture) and internal environment (e.g., resources and organizational goals) shape the most effective management approach, organizations tend to share fundamental tasks and functions to which basic management principles can apply. This course is an introduction to such generalized principles of management.
