The Expo showcased 45 projects of JI’s various undergraduate experimental courses.Innovative freshman projects show smart living at fingertips. Global corporate collaboration is the new mode of JI Design Expo.

JI beat EIEE 20:16 and successfully defended their championship from last year. This is JI’s third championship of the SJTU “Freshman Cup” Women’s Basketball Game since 2012.

The JI Development Advisory Board offered advice on JI’s financial sustainability, management models, international recruitment, and administrative autonomy.

The program aims to help promote China’s automotive industry and smart car development by inviting renowned experts to provide ideas and guidance to Chinese automotive executives.

JI International Summer School is accepting applications for 2017.
 

2016 JI Welcome Show a Hit : The highly anticipated annual feast of light and sound attracted a full house. It took upper classmates months to prepare and carried their good wishes for the new students.

This year JI ushered in a total of 316 undergraduate students and 49 graduate students. There are 52 international students from 14 countries.

The UM-SJTU Joint Institute has just been accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) on two of its undergraduate majors, i.e., mechanical engineering and electrical and computer engineering.

Encouraged to dream big, take chances, and be grateful, JI’s Class of 2016 embark on the next stage of their life journeys.

A lab in the pocket? A mobile phone as a driving assistant? Watering your house plants remotely? These are just some examples of the more than 80 eye-popping innovative projects exhibited at the Joint Institute’s 2016 summer Design Expo.

Out of the 21 graduates of one division of JI’s Class of 2016, 16 are going to top-20 engineering graduate schools of the world, three will study at China’s best graduate schools, two have been hired by Amazon and Microsoft in the USA.
