SJTU John and Jane Endowment to boost JI’s long-term growth
The 10-million US$ donated by SJTU alumnus John Wu and his wife Jane is dedicated to JI’s long-term development, including setting up chair professorships, faculty and student scholarships, and students’ innovation programs.

Professor Wenjie Wan applies IoT technology to atmospheric monitoring
JI Assistant Professor Wenjie Wan and UM Professor Xiaogan Liang have recently developed a SERS-based atmospheric monitoring sensor using nanoimprint technique of the IoT technology.
Ready, Set, Go – 2015 new student convocation of the Joint Institute
JI’s 2015 new student body includes 310 undergraduates and 49 graduate students. The 45 international students come from 19 countries.The convocation served as their first lesson. It would enhance their insight into JI and help them adjust to the new life at JI and reach their goals.
