The Joint Institute’s 2015 Graduate Student Summer Camp was held at SJTU Minhang Campus on July 16. After stringent screening, 87 outstanding students from China’s top high schools were invited to attend the 2-day exciting activities including face-to-face with the faculty and visiting JI’s labs.

Led by Henry Tang, the Shanghai Tang Jun Yuan Education Foundation has donated the Tang Jun Yuan JI Scholarship to help JI students in dual-degree and SGUS programs.
This further collaboration between JI and UM will combine the teaching, academic, and research advantages of each university to develop an interdisciplinary, international, and innovative leader training model.

The “Yu Liming Endowed Scholarship Fund” is a permanent fund for SJTU. A percentage of the annual profit will be earmarked as scholarships for JI’s outstanding students, so that more students can fulfill their dreams and become China’s future leaders.
JI’s Development Advisory Board is an effective and innovative attempt based on advanced concepts and experiences of American Universities. It is JI’s “think tank” to support JI’s long-term development.
