On March 4, a delegate from the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) led by Vice President Ramon Wyss visited the Joint Institute, exchanged ideas about collaboration, and signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
JI and Seoul National University Sign MOU
The memorandum of understanding stipulates that the scope of the collaborative projects includes but not limited to health prognostics and management of mechanical components, health prognostics and diagnostics of energy storage systems, and physics-of-failure modeling. Based on the MOU, both parties hope to develop mutually beneficial long-term collaboration and exchange.
SJTU Signs MOU with Korea Institute of Industrial Technology
Within the next five years, the two sides will cooperate in launching a number of scientific and technological projects in materials science, manufacturing technology, and component technology.
Second JI Alumni Forum & Homecoming on 2015 New Year’s Eve
At the forum, many alumni showed great interest in establishing a formal JI Alumni Association. They suggested setting up branches based on regions and professions. They planned to organize activities to connect the alumni and provide information for late comers.
JI-HP Capstone Design Collaboration Going Strong
“It is amazing how much the students can achieve in 2 months’time. Their prototypes are very close to our target and will be put into production. Our cooperation with the Joint Institute has been very successful and we look forward to more collaboration in the future.”
JI Town Hall Meeting a Success
At conclusion of the meeting, Dean Huang emphasized that JI advocates Open Door Policy and the town hall meeting is a channel for students to knock at the door, give suggestion, and help JI improve.
The 16th UM-SJTU Partnership Board Meeting Successful
Chairman Jiang was gratified to see that the Joint Institute continues to make progress under the leadership of Dean Huang. He hoped the collaboration between the two universities in internationalization, research, and disciplines will progress to a new phase of UM-SJTU JI 2.0 in the next 8 to 10 years.
