讲座摘要
Research shows that even in 2030, passenger vehicles with internal combustion (IC) engines will still account for an estimated over 80% of all vehicle sales, of which the vehicles with pure IC engines account for about 50%. Therefore, it is of great importance to further improve the thermal efficiency and reduce the exhaust emissions of IC engines. In this talk, I will give a systematic investigation of the effects of nozzle configurations on nozzle internal flow and external fuel spray by using numerical and experimental methods, and discuss one promising method of fuel injector design to improve fuel atomization and reduce the emissions of IC engines.
主讲人简介
Shengqi Wu is currently a tenure-track associate professor from School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of SJTU. He received his doctorate from ME of SJTU in 2017, and then went to the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor as a post-doc. He came back and joined SJTU in 2020. His research focuses on breakup and atomization of high-speed liquid jets, fuel injection of advanced aero engines and advanced optical diagnostics.
