讲座摘要
In the future, micro-manufacturing will be of vital importance in many areas, including biomedical engineering, energy, semiconductor packaging etc. Microfluidics is a technology to handle or manipulate tiny amount of liquid in micro-channels, which can be a versatile platform for the micro-manufacturing of materials with precisely-controlled dimension, structure, component, and functionality. In this talk, I will mainly focus on the microfluidics-enabled micro-manufacturing (MEMM), from the fundamentals of the microfluidics, the processes for the materials fabrication in MEMM, and the advantages of MEMM. I will also outline some of my recent progress on MEMM, which inherits promises for various applications.
主讲人简介
Dr. Xing HAN received his Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong in 2020, under supervision of Prof. Liqiu Wang. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the same lab. His research interests focus on microfluidics-enabled micro-manufacturing. In past three years, Dr. Xing HAN has published a dozen papers on top journals, including Nature Communications, Materials Today, Materials Horizons, Small, Chemical Engineering Journal, Physics Reviews Fluid etc.
