Abstract
Diblock copolymer is a momentous model to study 3D confinement effect. In this dissertation, the confinement effect on physical aging in copolymer is studied by experimental methods and simulation. The 3D diagram of aging rate as a function of both aging temperature and hard confinement ratio is set up. It demonstrates that structural relaxation time scales on enthalpy recovery and morphology evolution are decoupled, and physical aging under soft confinement has two equilibration mechanisms. Moreover, curve fitting method is successful in separating overlapped aging responses in copolymer. This dissertation constructs a framework to study physical aging in block copolymers and gives directive significance for the application of copolymers.
