Abstract
China has pledged to achieve peak carbon emission by 2030 and net zero carbon by 2060, which has caused widespread discussion and actions. This seminar will discuss some facts, policy and case study around this topic, including the relationship between global warming and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, policy contribution, emission and reduction pathway from important industrial sectors, expected effect and opportunities towards carbon neutrality, low-carbon industry blooming facilitated by climate investment and financing. In the end, we will present two case studies of low-carbon projects, one is intelligent waste sorting, and the other is smart agriculture to generate carbon sink.
