One Division of University of Michigan- Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute’s (UM-SJTU JI) Class of 2016 has performed outstandingly in post-graduate placement. Out of the 21 graduates, 16 are going to top-20 engineering graduate schools of the world, including Cal Tech, Stanford, UM and UC San Diego, three will study at China’s best graduate schools, two heading to job markets have been hired by Amazon and Microsoft in the USA.

Division 203 is not unique at JI. Since 2010, nearly 80% of JI’s undergraduate graduates chose to pursue a graduate degree abroad. Ninety percent are admitted to world’s best universities. Those who chose employment have been hired by multinational companies of key industries at home and abroad, including the United States, UK, Singapore, Japan and Hong Kong. JI graduates have won praises from employers for their innovation, teamwork, fast learning and fluent English.
