Alumni Fund
The Alumni Fund is one of the subproject funds affiliated with JIDF and accepts gifts from JI Alumni. The fund is to support the inheritance and development of the alumni culture, such as help on-campus students, support student-related development programs and promote alumni alliance.
Since November 2020, Alumni Fund ONE has been established with the initiative and broad support of the alumni class of 2010, and received gifts from alumni and other donors of more than RMB 200,000 within one month to achieve the campaign goal. JI will name the discussion room 326A as “Alumni Fund ONE” and thank all the donors. Since April 2021, Alumni Fund TWO has been established and in the process of accepting gifts from alumni and other friends until the completion of the campaign goal.

UM-SJTU Joint Institute Development Fund (JIDF) is a college-level development fund affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University Education Development Foundation. JIDF is in the process of accepting gifts from friends, alumni, parents, corporates and non-profit organizations. JIDF consists of special named funds and annual funds to support the most priority and development of student, faculty, research and innovation, and cultural heritage.
Tax Exemption
According to the official Law of Income Tax, with respect to the charitable donations to SJTUEDF incurred by enterprises, the portion within 12% of the total annual profit may be deducted from the taxable income.
