Magnetic levitation (maglev) motion control is a key technology in the fields of precision manufacturing and high-speed transportation. Prof.Peisen Huang, Mr. Xiaoguang Jiang (JI Teaching Lab) and Kwee-Yan Teh would like to put together an IPP team for the development of a lab-scale maglev linear motion platform for better understanding of the technology, its dynamics, and control. The project will refine and iterate upon an existing first-generation prototype designed and assembled by a 2023 Summer Capstone (Senior Graduation) Design Team.

Freshmen, sophomores, and junior students interested in hardware (CAD) design, multiphysics simulation, software control, etc. are encouraged to contact Kwee-Yan Teh in person (Longbin 437C), over Feishu (Kwee-Yan Teh), or email
