JI hosts 2024 symposium on frontiers in innovative technology

The 2024 Young Investigators Symposium on Frontiers in Innovative Technology (FIT) was successfully held from October 31 to November 1 at Long Bin Building of the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter). The JI-hosted symposium, which took place in a hybrid format with both online and in-person participation, brought together leading young scholars and researchers from top global institutions to exchange ideas and present cutting-edge research.

ISSCC 2025 accepts two papers by JI research team

The research team led by Associate Professor Xuyang Lu of the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) has had two papers accepted by the 2025 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC), a top conference in the field of integrated circuits. The papers, first-authored by JI doctoral students Yutian Zhao and Runqing Cai, focus on innovations in digital beamforming power amplifiers and microrobots with on-chip energy harvesting. Professor Lu is the corresponding author for both papers.
