The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) has been selected as one of the outstanding examples of Sino-foreign cooperative education institutions for 2024. This accolade was announced at the third chair unit meeting of the Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Joint Conference, a national platform sponsored by the Ministry of Education, held in Shanghai recently.

More than 20 faculty members of the University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) gathered at the Faculty & Staff Club of Long Bin Building on May 29 for a seminar looking into the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. The seminar titled “Teaching Students Generative AI for Writing and Engineering Design,” is the first event of Faculty Development Series in 2024.
