Two outstanding JI senior students have won the Aerospace Scholarship awarded by CALT(China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology) to study aerospace engineering abroad.
The two students are the sole winners of this prestigious scholarship of 300,000 RMB each. The competition was stiff. Candidates have gone through extensive screening and interviews.The two JI students were finally selected for their excellent technical skills and passion for China’s aerospace industry. They have just signed contracts with CALT, according to which after obtaining their Master degrees, they will come back to work at CALT for 5 years.
CALT has been recruiting top global talents in aerospace. JI, with its mission of cultivating innovative global leaders, is a potential supplier for the demand. JI has become the only collaborative partner with CALT and has recommended strong students for the Aerospace Scholarship. Mr. Guoqing Ma, the HR manager of CALT, remarks that he is deeply impressed by JI students’ innovative and hands-on capabilities and communication skills. He has great confidence in their future success. This is the first time CALT provides the scholarships and they will continue the collaboration by sponsoring more qualified students.
One of the awardees comments that the scholarship provides a fantastic opportunity to fulfill his dream to study abroad and then have a great job in China. It has paved his path to the future. He realizes that the aerospace industry is booming in China. People are excited about the rockets and space missions. Aerospace is not only the symbol of advanced technology but is also the pride of the Chinese people. He is determined to answer the calling of aerospace engineering and strive to contribute to China’s aerospace industry.
Candice Liu, JI’s Career Counselor, remarks that JI students’ winning the scholarships indicates that more and more JI graduates will dedicate themselves to the key industries and enterprises in China. The majority of JI graduates choose to pursue graduate studies abroad and, hopefully, will come back to help build China.
