After 2 months of fierce competition, the 2012 SJTU Freshmen Volleyball Tournament concluded on November 30. Like a black horse, the JI team emerged as the runner-up.
The JI team was formed in September right after the freshmen arrived at JI. The 10 team players had been practicing diligently ever since. During the tournament that started in early October, JI team had been knocking down one team after another like bowling pins, 9 altogether. JI’s amazing performance attracted attention in the SJTU sports community.
Finally, they lost to the even stronger team from the School of Electronic, Information and Electrical Engineering. Team member Liang Zhihao remarked, “We have no regret. We have tried our best. That counts.”
