The University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) doctoral graduate Han Wei has been selected for Zhiyuan Honors Doctorate Program by the SJTU University Honors Program Committee, becoming one of the first batch of 11 recipients of the honor.
Han Wei, currently an employee of Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, was one of the first batch of Zhiyuan Honors Program doctoral students (International Co-training) in 2017 co-supervised by JI Professor Hua Bao and Professor Xiulin Ruan of Purdue University in the United States. With her research focusing on thermal conductivity in multiscale porous media, Wei has published 13 SCI papers in international journals such as Nano Energy, Carbon, and the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer. She was also recipient of awards including the First Prize in the 2020 SJTU “Boxue Zhiyuan” Doctoral Student Academic Forum, Excellent Graduate of Shanghai Municipality, and the SJTU Excellent Graduate Scholarship.
