A delegation from the University of Tulsa, led by Associate Provost Vivian Wang and Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science Andreas A. Polycarpou, visited the University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI, JI hereafter) on October 23. The delegation was received by JI Deputy Party Secretary Chong Wang.
During the visit, the delegation introduced the University of Tulsa and its key programs, sparking an engaging dialogue with JI students. Leaders from both institutions also engaged in discussions to deepen Sino-US educational partnerships, with a particular focus on strengthening ties in student affairs and exploring collaborative scholarship programs to benefit graduate students.
This visit marks a step forward in fostering international academic collaboration, emphasizing JI’s commitment to advancing global partnerships and enhancing cross-cultural understanding through education.
