Description:

INS. Lab focuses on the measurement, performance modeling, and optimization of network-oriented problems and applications that emerged in distributed systems, including cloud/edge computing, mobile computing, multimedia networks, and the Internet of Things. It emphasizes the combination of rigorous theoretical exploration and practical implementations through an interdisciplinary lens. Methodologies and techniques, drawing from optimization theory, microeconomics, and machine learning, are utilized to cope with the complex large scale networked systems and applications, especially multimedia systems. INS. Lab’s current focuses are large scale video analytics systems, edge computing, federated learning, pricing and economic analysis for newly emerged networking applications.
