SJTU John and Jane Endowment to boost JI’s long-term growth
The 10-million US$ donated by SJTU alumnus John Wu and his wife Jane is dedicated to JI’s long-term development, including setting up chair professorships, faculty and student scholarships, and students’ innovation programs.

Joint Institute is going to hold the Jinesis Freshmen Welcome Party from 19:00 to 22:00 on Nov. 1st (Sunday). All students, parents and faculties are welcome.
JI freshman basketball tournament – thrilling and bonding
The fall semester is into full swing. The JI freshmen took a break from adjusting to the busy class schedule and new life at JI. Besides exercise and relaxation, the freshmen basketball tournament offered them an opportunity to socialize and identify with their classes.

As JI’s advising council, the JI DAB provides guidance and support on strategies and resources for JI’s long-term development and plays an important role in promoting JI’s international collaboration.The board members meet once or twice a year.

JI Assistant Professor Wenjie Wan and UM Professor Xiaogan Liang have recently developed a SERS-based atmospheric monitoring sensor using nanoimprint technique of the IoT technology.
